| Although our SMUG members are of different ages, come from diverse backgrounds and have various skill levels, we all have one thing in common. We all love our Macs, want to use them to their fullest and, most of all, have fun with them. Thus, our club is all about learning and sharing. Join us and get involved!
The SMUG Board of Directors is responsible for planning meetings, organizing activities, taking in membership dues and keeping track of club equipment. Our monthly meetings begin with a free-wheeling "Tips & Tricks" time. Our own "gurus", with laptop computers, set up centers in our meeting room. These "gurus" are available to answer your questions, offer help, trouble-shoot and lead small group sessions. We do have wireless internet access at our meetings. A short business meeting follows the "Tips & Tricks". Then, members enjoy a short Q&A discussion time. The main focus of our evening continues with a presentation or software demo. Our December meeting is a holiday get-together with a delicious buffet and a computer-based gift exchange and raffle. In addition to our monthly meetings, we co-sponsor with the Midland Mac Group, MIAMUG, a number of MacCamps throughout the year.
