Betty demonstrated the program “Bento” by filemaker. It brings together all of your personal information contacts, calendars, files, photos, and more in one place so that you can organize it however you’d like and simplify your life. Bento is designed specifically for Mac and closely resembles other applications that we are already familiar with, like iTunes, Keynote, iWeb and Finder. The Address Book and iCal data Mac users already have on their computer ready to use will appear in Bento. This means that any changes you make to this data in Bento also appear in the Address Book and iCal apps, which you can synchronize with external devices such as iPod and iPhone, .Mac, and anything else that can sync with Address Book and iCal.
Delta College Kenya Computer Project
Thanks to the efforts of Chick Burda, SMUG was able to contribute to the Delta College Kenya Computer Project. The Project is a great recycling effort. It takes what we consider “old” technology, books and other material and donates them to Kenya where they are used by school children bettering their education and lives. The effort began in 1991 by Professor Robert Keicher of Delta College.
